No installation of anysort is required to use the VPN.!

To create the connection file you can follow the instructions by selecting from the operating system below to set up a VPN (Virtual Private Network) once you have received your user ID and Password via email.

VPN Errors

What they mean!

 

 

 

Windows Vista

You have your user Id and Password now you need to:

1 - Open the Control Panel

 

Open up the Control Panel from the Start Menu & double click the Network & Internet Connections item.

2 - Connect To A Network

 

Under Networking and Sharing Center, Click on "Connect to a Network.


3 - Setting up the VPN Connection

 

From the three option in the Connect to a Network screen, Click on "Set up a connection or Network."

4 - Now Choose the Connection Type

 

You will be asked to choose a connection option. Select the "Connect to a Workplace" item at the bottom of the list and press Next >

5 - Selecting the Internet Connection

 

You will be asked, how do you want to connect? Select "Use my Internet Connection (VPN)

6 - Enter Our Servers Information

 

You will be asked to type the Internet address to connect to. In the box labeled Internet address enter IP address provided in e-mail. In the box labeled Destination name enter "VpnAccounts.com", Unmark the first two check boxes and mark the box "don't connect now, just ser it up so i can connect later" Press Next >

7 - Enter your Username and Password

 

You will be asked to type your user name and password. Now enter your Username, password, check "Remember this password" and press Create.

8 - Connection Ready

 

The screen will show, "The connection is Ready to use" Click the "Close" button to return to the "Network and Internet" screen.

9 - Go to the connection

 

In the Network and Internet screen, click on "Connect to a network" again.

10 - Select the Connection Properties

 

In the Connect to a Network screen, you should see the VpnAccounts.com connection that we have set up. Right-click on the VpnAccounts.com connection and choose "Properties" from the menu that appears.

11 - Select Options

 

From the VpnAccounts.com Properties, click on the "Options" tab. Make sure the checkbox labelled "Include Windows logon domain" is unchecked. Then click the "PPP Settings." button. Make sure that Only "Negotiate multi-link connections" is unchecked

12 - Select Security

 

From the VpnAccounts.com Properties, click on the "Security" tab. The security option should be "Typical", "Require Secured Password" and ONLY check "require data encryption"

13 - Select Networking

 

From the VpnAccounts.com Properties, click on the "Networking" tab. In the list of items that you see, make sure that only the "Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPv4)" and "Client for Microsoft Networks" items are checked. If oher protcols are checked, uncheck them by clicking on the checkbox.

Now, click on the "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" item in the list and click the "Properties" button. The "Obtain an IP address Automatically" needs to be selected. "Obtain DNS server Address Automatically" needs to be selected too. Click the "OK" button.

You have now sucessfully created a PPTP VPN connection.

To disconnect from our service click on the Disconnect link. To open the connection again open your Control Panel , select the Network and Internet item and choose the Network and Sharing Center . In the left hand menu choose the Manage Network Connection link. Right click the "Vpn Accounts" icon and select the Connect item

 

Setting Up L2TP VPN Connection!

From the VpnAccounts.com Properties, click on the "Networking" tab. Select L2TP IPsec from the "Type of VPN" drop down menu.

Click on the IPsec Setting found on the same screen. The Preshared key is provided in the Welcome email.

In the "IPsec Settings" dialog, click the radio button labelled "Use preshared key for authentication". Type the shared key that you received by email into the textbox labelled "Key" and click the "OK" button.

 

Connecting to the VPN

 

The first time you connect, you might see a screen asking you if you want to automatically connect to VpnAccounts.com whenever you're at a given location. You should click "Cancel".

To connect to the VPN, go to the Start buton and click "Connect To" and then click on the VpnAccounts.com entry and click "Connect".
